LEA Insurance Brokers are based in Bundall on the Gold Coast. From our early beginnings as Barry J Lea and Associates (established 1978), to renaming as LEA Insurance Brokers in 2005, we have been an integral part of the Queensland insurance industry with partners having held positions on state and national insurance bodies.

With so many insurance companies in the marketplace, which one provides the best value for money and right amount of cover for you? It’s easy to be overwhelmed and take short cuts without understanding the fine print and whether the policy is in fact suited to your specific needs.

Our Qualified Practising Insurance Brokers (QPIBs) will save you time, worry and money through their knowledge of the benefits, exclusions and costs of competing policies in the market.

LEA Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd subscribe to the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice. Contact our offices on the Gold Coast  to find out about our commitment to our clients and ask for an obligation free assessment of your insurance needs.

General advice on this website has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting on the advice, consider its appropriateness. How We Can Help You - Making Life Easier

We have a dedicated claims team with years of experience to help you through what can be a difficult and traumatic experience.

In most cases personal property claims do not require a claim form, and advising us of the details is all that is required to lodge a claim.  For commercial claims however, this is not necessarily the case, and choosing the right claim form can be confusing which is why we facilitate this.

Advice, support and assistance throughout the entire claims process. Notify us so we can ensure your interests are protected every step of the way.

We ask that all claims are notified through our office so we are able to provide advice and assistance from the initial contact, monitor the progress of your claim and ensure your interests are being protected until the claim is finalised.

We subscribe to the NIBA Code of Conduct. The Code provides that brokers:

The Insurance Brokers Code of Practice (the Code) promotes open, fair, honest and timely dealings with consumers.

LEA Insurance Brokers are committed to creating professional relationships built on:
- trust,
- high standards of customer service (Code Service Standards),
- a free and transparent complaints and compliance review process
- abiding by any binding sanctions imposed on us under the Code for any breach.

You can access a copy of the current Code Here

The Code Service Standards:

  1. We will comply with all relevant law

  2. We will transparently manage any conflicts of interest

  3. We will clearly tell you when we do not act for you

  4. We will clearly tell you about the scope of our covered services

  5. We will discharge our duties, diligently, competently, fairly and with honesty and integrity

  6. We will clearly tell you how our covered services are paid for before we provide them and answer any questions you have

  7. We will handle any money received in accordance with relevant law and any agreement with you

  8. We will ensure that we and our representatives are competent and adequately trained to provide the relevant services and will maintain this competence

  9. We will respond to catastrophes and disasters in a timely, professional, practical and compassionate manner in conjunction with any industry-wide response

  10. We will ensure that we have an internal complaints and disputes handling process that meets the Code Complaints and Dispute process standards

  11. We will support NIBA in promoting the Code and make information on the Code (including how to make a complaint) and our Covered Services readily available to you

  12. We will not engage in activity or inactivity that is reasonably likely to bring the insurance broking profession into disrepute

Complaints and Dispute Resolution Process:

When things don’t go right, we want you to tell us about it. We have as part of the Code requirements an internal dispute resolution process, which is free of charge and will be conducted in a fair, transparent and timely manner.
